This past weekend marked a special occasion for the Orlando advertising community, as the American Advertising Federation (AAF) – Orlando hosted its annual American Advertising Awards. The event, a celebration of creativity and innovation, was held in the immersive environment of Vū Orlando, where professionals from across the industry gathered to honor outstanding achievements in advertising.
At the event, Avenue Z was honored to receive a Silver ADDY, Advertising Industry Self-Promotion, Online & Interactive, for our work on the Zillas site, a project that represents the collective effort and dedication of our team. The evening was made even more memorable with the acknowledgment of Dani Pickett, one of our talented Senior Digital Strategists, who was awarded Rookie of the Year. Dani’s passion, creativity, and strategic thinking have been invaluable to our team, and we are thrilled to see her hard work and talent recognized by our peers.
In line with our commitment to supporting the next generation of creative professionals, Avenue Z was proud to sponsor two student scholarships. It is our belief that by investing in the education and development of emerging talent, we are contributing to the future of our industry. We congratulate Hailey Winder and Paola Alburquerque from the University of Central Florida on their scholarships and look forward to seeing their impact on the advertising world.
The introduction of “The ADvocate Awards” this year highlighted the importance of recognizing individuals who contribute significantly to various aspects of our profession, including diversity, equity, and inclusion. It’s initiatives like these that remind us of the values we share as a community and the impact we can make beyond the confines of our projects.
As we reflect on the event, we are reminded that our achievements are not ours alone but belong to a broader community committed to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in advertising. We extend our sincerest congratulations to all the winners and participants for their outstanding contributions and thank the American Advertising Federation – Orlando for organizing an event that brings our community together.
