Jon Kaiden is the Founder, Chairman and a Managing Partner of Baleon Capital. Jon has more than 20 years of experience as an investor in high growth business and has a domain expertise in marketing tech and research technology.
Jon has been investing in marketing technology since the early 2000s and was an early investor in iCrossing (acquired by Hearst), was the first institutional investor in Lucid (acquired by Cint), and has invested in several other companies that are driving the confluence of technology, analytics and marketing/communications.
He has made over 40 direct private equity investments and has served on numerous boards, currently serving on the boards of Shadowbox, Slick, Avenue Z, Clearstep, HealPros, and Lifelink Systems. Previous board positions include iCrossing (acquired by Hearst), Planet Payment (NASDAQ: PLPM, acquired by Fintrax Group), SRS Software (Thoma Bravo), Mountain Temp Services (NewSpring Capital), Healthcare Data Solutions (acquired by IQVIA), Lucid (acquired by CINT), Medical Scribe Systems (acquired by Scribe America), Quovant (acquired by MitroTech), Turning Point (Summit Partners), Anyone Home (acquired by Inhabit IQ), Click Notices (acquired by Hunter Warfield), HealPros and Signallamp.
Prior to Baleon Capital, Jon served as President and founding member of a New York-based venture capital firm Sopris Capital, which he led for 17 years. Prior to Sopris Capital, he was an investment banker and securities attorney focusing on corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions. Jon received his BA from Cornell University, his JD from Brooklyn Law School, and his MBA from Columbia Business School.
