The Opportunity
As Prometeo expanded into the U.S., it had an opportunity to grow its English-language visibility and presence across AI-driven platforms. Baseline AI visibility averaged 7% across ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews, while competitors were more established in high-intent queries. AI referral traffic remained early-stage, with limited form fills.
Visibility was concentrated across a limited set of owned pages and third-party sources, creating an opportunity to expand and strengthen Prometeo’s presence. To support its U.S. growth, the company needed clearer differentiation as a financial infrastructure layer, beyond traditional open banking or payments API positioning.
The Results
Developed a tailored AI Search Optimization (AEO) strategy in close collaboration with Prometeo, grounded in LLM behavior, sentiment, source, and competitive analysis.
Strengthened technical SEO and AEO foundations, including llms.txt, canonicals, H1/title optimization, redirects, Core Web Vitals, crawlability, and indexation.
Built a content strategy around Prometeo’s core authority areas: bank account verification, agentic banking, and borderless banking.
Created AI-citable pages, FAQs, and long-form content aligned with both buyer intent and answer engine retrieval.
Established ongoing measurement and reporting through Peec and Looker Studio to track AI visibility, traffic, and performance over time.
Integrated owned content and PR/media efforts to expand the range of sources AI systems reference when evaluating Prometeo.
AEO-Driven Content and Authority Building
Avenue Z developed a focused AEO strategy centered on high-intent topics like bank account verification, agentic banking, and borderless payments. This included publishing AI-citable content, structured FAQs, and long-form guides designed to align with how LLMs retrieve and surface information. In parallel, PR efforts increased Prometeo’s presence across authoritative third-party sources, strengthening credibility and expanding the pool of references AI systems rely on.
Technical Optimization and Real-Time Visibility Tracking
To support discoverability, Avenue Z optimized Prometeo’s technical foundation for AI search, including site structure, indexing, and LLM-specific signals. Performance was continuously monitored using Peec, Looker Studio, and Google Search Console, allowing the team to track visibility, traffic, and conversion impact in real time. This closed-loop system enabled rapid iteration and ensured gains in AI visibility translated into measurable business outcomes.
