About Our Client

  • Industry: Premium haircare and skincare brand / health and wellness / DTC
  • Deliverables: CRO audit, analytics, A/B testing, cart optimization, UX/UI, Shopify design and development, and recurring performance reporting

Background

A premium haircare and skincare brand had a live eCommerce storefront, but its path from product discovery to checkout still contained opportunities to reduce hesitation and improve conversion efficiency. Avenue Z’s CRO review identified opportunities across the homepage, product pages, cart, checkout, and the broader testing roadmap.

The challenge was not simply to drive more traffic. The brand needed a repeatable way to identify funnel friction, test changes against real customer behavior, and move validated improvements into the live experience.

Goals

  • Establish reliable benchmarks for conversion rate, average order value, and revenue per visitor.
  • Identify and address the highest-value conversion leaks.
  • Improve the cart experience with clearer value and cost information.
  • Create a repeatable test-and-rollout process for ecommerce optimization.

Results

Cart experience testing

During the September 2026 reporting review, the winning cart variant outperformed the control group across the core performance metrics:

14%

increase in conversion rate

13%

increase in revenue per visitor

216 orders

from 757 visitors, compared with 182 orders from 724 visitors in the control group

$19,345.05

in net revenue, compared with $16,337.49 from the control group

The variant replaced a button-based discount interaction with a field and added estimated shipping and value-proposition cues. The weekly performance readout reported the conversion-rate result at 93% confidence and the revenue-per-visitor result at 83% confidence. Based on the result, the team recommended ending the test and rolling the updated cart fields out to all users.

These are early test results, not a claim of sustained or mature revenue growth across the full business. The clearest verified outcome was improved cart-level conversion efficiency.

The Method

Avenue Z built a focused CRO program by auditing the eCommerce funnel, establishing a 30- to 90-day optimization roadmap, prioritizing the cart as a high-leverage friction point, and testing the updated experience against a control. The analysis tracked visitors, orders, net revenue, conversion rate, checkout initiation, and revenue per visitor so the team could evaluate both customer behavior and business value.

Operational Impact

The engagement gave the brand a more disciplined growth system: a prioritized CRO roadmap, clearer connections between UX decisions and performance metrics, and a repeatable process for testing and rolling out improvements. Longer-term profitability, lifetime value, and scale require a longer reporting window.
