Avenue Z is thrilled to welcome a new member to its leadership team, David Corchado, a renowned figure in the realm of digital media and technology. As the former CTO of Investis Digital, Corchado’s vast experience and innovative approach to marketing and analytics make him an invaluable asset to our team.

Joining us at our New York office, Corchado will be collaborating with our teams across New York and Boston, focusing on enhancing our Health Technology Practice. His role as the Chief Strategy and Technology Officer will be pivotal in driving technological innovations and harnessing the power of data science.

In a recent PR Week interview Corchado explained, “The role itself is really about thinking about: what does a next gen strategic communications agency need to accomplish in order to do all the things that are demanded of today’s clients? It’s really about thinking strategically, what do we need technologically-wise as a business? What do we not need?” he added. “We’re not going to build technology for technology’s sake. We’re going to use best-of-breed solutions, pulling them together with APIs and we will deploy those based on the industry vertical, based on the channels our clients operate at.

Jeffrey Herzog, the CEO of The Avenue Z Network, expressed his enthusiasm about Corchado’s appointment, “David’s expertise in digital media optimization, agile tech stack development, analytics, and cyber-security will be instrumental in driving the next phase of growth for Avenue Z.” Herzog further emphasized the significance of this addition by stating, “This move strengthens Avenue Z’s technology teams, providing strong leadership for our work in digital transformation and accelerating our advantage in building Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences technology programs.”

Corchado’s long-standing career speaks volumes about his capabilities. He has been at the forefront of global digital transformation initiatives for iconic consumer brands such as Estee Lauder, Toyota, and LG. His tenure at Investis Digital saw him leading technology strategy and product development, where he played a crucial role in creating solutions like Connect.ID and IDX Virtual Events platforms. These platforms, acknowledged by Forrester Research, have been adopted by major brands like Ocado, Rolls-Royce, Brookfield Partners, Snap, CVS, Vodafone, and Lowes. Moreover, his association with iCrossing & TBWA\Chiat\Day had him delving deep into digital media for pharmaceutical advertising, spearheading optimization projects for giants like Merck, Sanofi, GSK, Novartis, and Pfizer.

Sharing his vision for the future, Corchado remarked, “I believe the future of marketing is machine-driven, but human optimized.” He emphasized the evolving role of today’s CTOs, stating, “marketing is less about writing original code, and more about connecting best-of-breed solutions through APIs. AI is shaking up digital marketing, and my mission is to ensure we stay on the forefront of cutting-edge technology.” His forward-thinking approach is evident as he poses questions that challenge the status quo: “Can we type words into a CMS that then optimizes instantly for on-page SEO? Can we build advertising and creative that optimizes based on traffic patterns? Can we build platforms that self heal when infected with malware? These are the questions we’re asking ourselves.”
