As Cadillac prepares to enter Formula 1, it is building more than a team. It is building the systems that will support it.
Core Scientific was recently named the Official Data Center Partner of the Cadillac Formula 1 Team, supporting the buildout of its U.S. data infrastructure ahead of the 2026 season.
The partnership goes beyond branding. Core Scientific will help develop the team’s primary U.S. data hub in Indianapolis, while supporting hybrid cloud environments across both U.S. and U.K. operations. The scope includes high-density infrastructure planning for simulation, analytics, and digital manufacturing, as well as long-term scalability as the team grows.
For a new Formula 1 team, these decisions are foundational.
Modern F1 performance depends heavily on data. Simulation environments, aerodynamic modeling, and race strategy all rely on systems capable of processing large volumes of information quickly and reliably. Building that infrastructure early allows teams to scale performance over time rather than retrofitting systems later.
That is especially relevant for Cadillac as it establishes a new U.S. headquarters while coordinating with existing operations abroad. Connecting environments across regions, while maintaining speed, security, and flexibility, is a critical piece of that buildout.
Core Scientific’s role sits directly within that layer.
Known for designing and operating high-density data centers, the company is supporting not just the team’s immediate needs, but how its infrastructure evolves over time. As workloads become more complex and data demands increase, the ability to scale efficiently becomes a competitive advantage.
The partnership also reflects how new Formula 1 teams are being built.
As the sport continues to grow in the U.S., teams are investing earlier in the systems that underpin performance. Data infrastructure, cloud environments, and compute capacity are no longer secondary considerations. They are central to how teams operate and compete.
For Cadillac, this is part of laying the groundwork ahead of its first season. For Core Scientific, it is an opportunity to support one of the most demanding performance environments in the world.
Where This Is Heading
As Formula 1 becomes more data-intensive, the role of infrastructure partners will continue to expand. Teams are not just optimizing cars. They are optimizing the systems that design, simulate, and support them.
This partnership is an early look at how that foundation is being built.
