About our client
Our client is a bilingual financial platform serving gig workers, including rideshare and delivery drivers, freelancers, independent contractors, and other workers with variable income. Its products and educational resources are designed around the financial needs and earning patterns of independent work.
Scope of work: AEO and SEO strategy, bilingual prompt research, content and messaging strategy, technical SEO/AEO auditing and recommendations, content planning and production, measurement, and PR alignment.
Background
At the start of the program, the platform had far more reach through traditional search than through AI-driven discovery. During the initial 90-day baseline, Google generated 23,900 sessions while AI engines generated 232—about 77 AI sessions per month. The initial prompt analysis also found that the company’s own domain accounted for just 1% of citations in the tracked source set.
The challenge was to make the platform’s expertise easier to discover and understand across both English- and Spanish-language searches. That meant explaining its products clearly, addressing questions about fees and eligibility, and showing how financial tools designed for gig work account for variable income and independent work.
Goals

Grow visibility and qualified visits from AI-driven search.

Improve the clarity and retrievability of English- and Spanish-language content.

Build useful, trust-forward resources around cash flow, fees, eligibility, remittances, and the financial realities of gig work.

Strengthen the technical and measurement foundations needed to monitor AI search and organic performance over time.

Expand the brand’s presence in the third-party sources that shape AI answers.
The method
Map the questions and sources shaping discovery
Avenue Z developed a bilingual prompt framework spanning awareness, evaluation, and conversion questions, with audience groups such as drivers, freelancers, creators, and independent contractors. The analysis examined the sources and content formats AI systems used for answers about gig-worker finance, including editorial explainers, comparison pages, FAQs, and community discussions.
This research helped identify a practical opportunity: explain the product in the language workers use, answer sensitive financial questions directly, and make the platform’s own resources more useful to both search engines and people.
Align the content with the audience and the product
The team created a messaging framework and audited the refreshed website for clarity, differentiation, and conversion readiness. The editorial plan prioritized useful, question-led resources on topics such as cash advances versus other financial products, variable income, delayed payouts, remittances, fees, and safer ways to manage irregular cash flow.
Five blog posts were published in August, with additional content planned for September and October. Content recommendations emphasized plain language, clear headings, FAQs, and specific gig-worker use cases so the material could serve both traditional search and AI-generated answers.
Identify technical improvements and measurement needs
Avenue Z assessed crawlability, indexation, metadata, headings, redirects, URL structure, and multilingual implementation. Recommendations included improving English/Spanish page relationships and hreflang signals, addressing broken or unclear internal links, and creating a clearer site-wide reference for AI crawlers.
The team also established reporting across AI visibility, share of voice, AI sessions, organic traffic, and keyword performance. Technical findings were framed as recommendations for the client and its implementation partners; the available sources do not establish that every recommended site change was implemented by Avenue Z.
Connect AEO with authority building
The program linked on-site content priorities with PR and earned-media research. Avenue Z mapped outlets and source types that could reinforce the platform’s expertise, including mainstream finance publications, gig-worker explainers, and bilingual or fintech-focused sources.
Results
AI-referred activity grew from an average of approximately 77 sessions per month in the initial 90-day baseline to 293 sessions in September 2026, nearly 3.8 times the baseline. September AI sessions were also 17.7% higher than August’s 249.
The September AEO snapshot recorded 15.8% AI visibility and 16.3% share of voice. The platform had a 6% win rate—the percentage of tracked chats in which it ranked first—and the second-highest win rate in the measured group. AI Overviews was its strongest tracked channel by visibility at 30.2%; when the platform appeared in ChatGPT, its average position was 2.2.
Organic search results showed year-over-year growth alongside a mixed month-over-month picture. September generated 7,911 organic sessions, up 19.4% year over year, and 5,063 engaged sessions, up 26.58%. Engagement rate reached 64%, compared with 60.35% a year earlier. Organic sessions were down 8% month over month, so the growth story is strongest against the year-over-year comparison rather than the most recent month.
The September keyword report also showed strong positions on high-intent, non-branded queries: “cash advance for gig workers” ranked first, “cash advance for delivery drivers” ranked first, and “cash advance for DoorDash drivers” ranked fourth.
The business impact and next step
Avenue Z helped build a repeatable search program connecting bilingual content, technical recommendations, measurement, and authority building. The reporting shows more AI-referred activity and stronger year-over-year organic engagement, while revenue impact and profitability were not measured in the available results.
