Meta announced on February 17, 2026 that it will be forming a long-term partnership with NVIDIA.
The goal of this team-up is to help build the most advanced AI infrastructure in the world.
According to Meta, NVIDIA’s technology “builds on [the duo’s] existing relationship and will support Meta’s build-out of data centers optimized for AI training and inference, as well as [their] core business.”
What the Meta and NVIDIA Partnership Will Bring
While Meta has occasionally bought chips from NVIDIA, this new partnership will mark the start of a major rework of its entire advanced computing backbone.
With such, Meta will be able to build a larger AI system, power AI strategically across its many apps, and better compete against companies like Google and OpenAI.
For NVIDIA, they’ll achieve long-term revenue from the project, while also gaining industry validation, securing a larger customer base, and getting the opportunity to receive direct feedback regarding how their hardware functions in everyday settings.
A Word from the CEOs
Jensen Huang, the founder and CEO of NVIDIA, is confident that their technology will be a good fit for a big company like Meta.
“No one deploys AI at Meta’s scale — integrating frontier research with industrial-scale infrastructure to power the world’s largest personalization and recommendation systems for billions of users,” he said. “Through deep codesign across CPUs, GPUs, networking and software, we are bringing the full NVIDIA platform to Meta’s researchers and engineers as they build the foundation for the next AI frontier.”
The founder and CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, is also looking forward to the collaboration, with strong optimism regarding the outcome it could yield.
“We’re excited to expand our partnership with NVIDIA to build leading-edge clusters using their Vera Rubin platform to deliver personal superintelligence to everyone in the world,” Zuckerberg said.
The Public’s Opinions on the Collab
The public has mixed things to say in response to NVIDIA Newsroom’s post on X regarding the collaboration.
Some are thrilled:

Others exhibit skepticism:
1/3 of people want nothing to do with AI due to privacy. Queue Nvidia working with Palantir.

While there was also some angry backlash regarding the Meta-NVIDIA announcement, most reactions are generally positive and open-minded.
