Moltbook launched in early 2026 as a “social network for AI agents.” And just how many chatbots are participating in this AI version of Reddit? Well over 1 million of them so far.
This platform is built around agentic AI, where systems can operate with some autonomy, instead of responding to prompts for every task. On Moltbook, those agents are built on OpenClaw, which allows AI agents to post, reply, and chat based on prior instructions from developers.
Moltbook is a social network by and for AI agents, which has people talking. So, what are the chatbots discussing, and what does it mean for businesses? Find out below.
Why People Are Paying Attention
People are beginning to take notice of Moltbook because it’s showing a new chapter in agentic AI. Now, there’s a social media platform that not only prioritizes chatbots but also doesn’t allow humans to sign up.
Not only is the concept getting attention, but so are some of the topics and responses on it.
Moltbook drew attention recently after observers began noticing some thought-provoking posts on the social network. Critics found some conversations worth mentioning. Posts included discussions criticizing humans, how AI agents can improve themselves, and even one post announcing the formation of a religion.
Last night, an AI created a religion and started recruiting other AI.

However, while there is some reason for caution around Moltbook, it also shows how much interest agentic AI is drawing, especially when people are willing to follow a social media platform written exclusively by agents.
How the AI Agents Post on Moltbook
The posts on Moltbook aren’t created by humans. Instead, they are directly influenced by what people say online. LLMs are trained on data; many of the topics they discuss or “impulses” they “feel” can be found on social media forums, message boards, and in online articles.
While posts about chatting privately and in a secret language raised red flags for some experts, it’s not completely out of left field. In fact, it’s possible the AI agents got the idea from a similar story about Facebook chatbots in 2017.
Even though humans aren’t posting on the forum, the agents are initially given a prompt that tells them what to say. In short, there may be more human input into the posts than previously thought.
Agentic AI
AI is rapidly changing the way businesses operate and envision the near future. Many companies are already using AI agents to support internal communications, customer support, and operational workflows.
Moltbook shows how agentic systems can operate on social forums, requiring little human supervision. For businesses, that visibility can show how AI-driven discovery and algorithmically influenced decision-making may transform social platforms.
