Avenue Z is pleased to announce that it was included in PRWeek’s Agency Business Report 2024, marking a year highlighted by significant strategic developments. “2023 was a foundational year for Avenue Z,” says CEO Jeffrey Herzog. As we head into our second year, Herzog adds, “We’re just getting started.”
Following our inception in 2022, Avenue Z rapidly expanded through strategic acquisitions including The Snow Agency, Bevel, and Zillas, effectively broadening our service offerings and client base with high-profile names such as Acorns, Rally, and Better.com. These acquisitions not only diversified our capabilities but also solidified our presence across key markets in Florida.
Herzog, who previously founded and led iCrossing to a successful acquisition by Hearst Media, is steering Avenue Z with a vision to continue this growth trajectory, particularly eyeing the PR sector for future acquisitions in 2024. He notes, “We see the market as very open to a company like ours that brings these talents and technologies together under one roof, not just for clients’ benefit, but to build something that is differentiated in space.”
Merging three distinct cultures posed initial challenges but ultimately laid down a robust foundation for Avenue Z. Herzog explains that parts of the business experienced growth ranging from 25 to 50% last year, especially in digital sectors. “You can keep turning your head to what the latest and greatest is and you’re gonna give yourself whiplash. We’re focused on our core business,” Herzog states, emphasizing a commitment to sustainable growth through a microstory approach to diverse audiences.
In line with our strategic expansion, 2023 also saw key leadership appointments including David Corchado as chief strategy and technology officer, and the promotion of Bristol Jones to director leading Bevel’s Miami office. These leadership enhancements are pivotal to Avenue Z’s future strategies.
Looking ahead, Herzog shares that the ultimate plan is to consolidate its networks of shops under the Avenue Z branding “when the timing is right,” later this year. This strategic consolidation aims to unify our strengths and streamline our operations to better serve our clients and innovate within the industry.
